Please donate to the + American Red Cross or charity of your choich New Schedule: We are now enrolling for our new "Tiny Tots" Kobushi-Do children's class. The ages will be 3 1/2 through 6 years of age. The classes will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays 6:00pm to 7:00pm. For more information please go to the Kobushi-Do page. Monday: Private slots available (all ages) : 12pm to 6pm. Regular Kobushi-Do (ages 7 to 12) : 6pm to 7pm. Adult and Teen Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu (ages 12 1/2 and up) : 7pm to 9pm. Tuesday: Children's Ninjutsu "Kid Ninja" (ages 7 to 12) : 6pm to 7pm. Adult and Teen Bujinkan Ninjutsu (ages 12 1/2 and up) : 7pm to 9pm. Southern School of Martial Arts class times: See February schedule above. Please come in for a FREE trial class in each art that we teach. We would rather you get on the mat and try it out than sit and only observe it. People who physically try the class are surprised how easy, effective and sometimes how effortless these techniques really are. Tuition: We have several tuition options available. Our tuition is based on the number of hours per week the student trains. The student only pays for the amount of class time that they decide to participate in. The student has the option to train one, two or three days per week. We have month to month tuition, All in one packages and we have a 6 month and 1 year plan that will save you money. The extended plans are voluntary. The average tuition ranges from $38.00 per month to $125.00 per month. The Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu class is 2 hours in length. The Kobushi-Do class is 1 hour in length. Please call or email for more information. We also have a new student referral program that could save you big. Please ask for more details. At Southern School of Martial Arts, Shihan Mark Murdock teaches 95% to 100% of all classes. with the exceptions of an occassional vacation and training with Soke Casarez. Shihan Murdock - 7th Dan, is the highest ranking student, black belt and master instructor in the entire Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu system, with only Soke Casarez being higher. At Southern School of Martial Arts you get the highest ranking senior master instructor in the system teaching you. Our programs are, Children's Kobushi-Do, Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu/Judo and Bujinkan Ninjutsu. We also have the ability to teach a specialty Aikido class. Students can obtain separate belt ranks in each style of martial arts that we teach. Family, Public Service and Military discounts available. As always it's the choice of the student or parent to decide what type of class structure and payment method they prefer. We do not use any high pressure sales tactics. Our programs sell themselves. The Rivers Edge Bujinkan Dojo name has been retired, the new name will be Southern School of Martial Arts Ninjutsu. All Bujinkan classes will be under this name effective 07/01/11. Going from the I-40 overpass bridge, Turn right at the red light into the McGee's Crossing Shopping Center. We're in Suite 103. From Garner and the Cleveland area, go east on I-40 to exit 319 then turn right on Hwy 210 follow the same directions above from the overpass bridge. From Clayton, take Hwy 42 to Cleveland area (Exit 312 on I-40). Take I-40 east to exit 319. at the end of the ramp take a right onto Hwy 210 Right at the red light into the Shopping Center, Suite 103 From Benson (I-95) get on I-40 west to exit 319 at the end of the ramp take a left onto Hwy 210 turn right at the red light into the shopping Center, Suite 103. From Fuquay-Varina take Hwy 55 to Angier then Hwy 210 to McGee's Crossings Shopping Center, Suite 103 Southern School of Martial Arts and Rivers Edge Bujinkan Dojo is located at 12330 Hwy 210 Suite 103, Benson, NC. We're just off I-40 at Exit 319. Take a right at the end of the ramp and another in to McGee's Crossing Shopping Center Suite 103. We're located at Hwy 210 and I-40 and Exit 319. We're close to Smithfield, Angier, Fuquay-Varina, Benson and Garner. We're accepting students from all these areas. We'll be training both indoors and (outdoors, weather permitting). Thanks, Shihan Mark Murdock In the videos Shihan Murdock demonstrating a few simple takedowns for the regular adult class and the regular Kobushi-Do class. Students learn the correct way to go to the ground without being injured. We have soft padded mats that absorb 75% of the fall. Learning how to go to the ground is a great skill to have, especially in the winter during icy conditions. You can avoid a wrist, elbow, shoulder or back injury.
